Hero The reefs you build in the game are printed in the real world. Cenote is a game about restoring a dying ocean. It is also a way to actually restore one. Those structures exist. They are 3D-printed in mineral conglomerate by D-Shape, an Italian company that has been building artificial reefs this way for years. Sand, calcareous aggregate and a binder, layered by a printer the size of a room, into shapes no mould could produce — porous, cavernous, engineered to be colonised.
